Deploying Secure Distributed Systems: Comparative Analysis of GNS3 and SEED Internet Emulator

Network emulation offers a flexible solution for network deployment and operations, leveraging software to consolidate all nodes in topology utilizing the resources of single host system server. This research paper investigated state cybersecurity virtualized systems, covering vulnerabilities, exploitation techniques, remediation methods, strategies, based on an extensive review related literature. We conducted comprehensive performance evaluation comparison two network-emulation platforms: Graphical Simulator-3 (GNS3), established open-source platform, SEED Internet Emulator, emerging alongside physical Cisco routers. Additionally, we present Distributed System that seamlessly integrates architecture capabilities. Empirical experiments assessed various criteria, including bandwidth, throughput, latency, jitter. Insights into advantages, challenges, limitations each platform are provided evaluation. Furthermore, analyzed costs energy consumption, focusing economic aspects proposed application.
